Hey folks,

I've been using 1.30 for quite a while and I've had little or no trouble at all. I've just upgraded my mixer to a Behringer Xenyx 1222FX. I'm using a USB Audio Interface for input and output. I usually write and record songs of between 5 and 10 tracks for vocals and different instruments.

I've had this little annoyance before but for the life of me I can't remember how to remedy it.

My first track is *always* a percussion track. When I create a new second track and begin recording, for example an acoustic guitar, the first track is also being recorded into the second track. So track two winds up with track one's drums *and* the guitar.

I've this happen before and if someone could enlighten me again on how to take care of it, I promise to print and tape it to my forehead.

You don't say what type of USB audio device you use - does it have a hardware or software loopback feature? If so, this may be one possible reason why the track 1 is being recorded on track 2. On my Edirol UA-3FX the loopback function is a physical switch on the device - I only use it when recording streaming audio from the PC. If I leave it on when recording my own music I can replicate the problem you describe.

Alternatively it may be the configuration of the mixer - the unwanted loopback may be occurring there. Do you get the same problem if you bypass the mixer and record instruments directly? Try it with a mic straight into the USB device and see if the same problem occurs.
