I'm using v. 1.3.9 on Windows 7.
I'm using the Time Shift tool to create a mix of tracks where the end and beginning of the individual tracks overlap each other, like you'd hear on a radio broadcast. The problem is, the previous track plays all the way out, and then the next track only begins playing when the previous track ends, so that the overlapped part of the second track gets cut off.
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've made mixes like this before in Audacity, and they came out fine. Can anyone help?

Re: Problem with overlapping tracks
I've moved your post to the Audacity 1.3 part of the forum.
1.3.9 has now been replaced with 1.3.12 - it would be worth upgrading as there have been a lot of important bug fixes.
To make tracks overlap you need to keep each of the songs on different tracks rather than putting them on the same track. If you leave the tracks overlapping a bit, then both tracks will be playing during the overlap. You can then use the "Fade In" and "Fade Out" effects to fade out the end of the first track and fade in the beginning of the next track - this will produce a professional sounding cross-fade.
