If I am trying to record sound from a video on my computer I can also hear my kids screaming in the background. Are thee any ideas out there that would allow me to turn off the microphone on my Dell Precision M65 laptop?

what soundcard does it use ?
is there a speaker icon in the lower right tray?
if you click it can you see an option that mentions mike so you could mute it or turn the volume way down?

Thanks but this doesn't seem to work. There are no options for turning off or muting the mike. It looks like th esound card is a Sigma Tel Audio?
