Is there a way to restore default settings in version 1.3.X? Also, Window 7 will not let me unstall Audacity although I've uninstalled and reinstalled it in the past. It gives me the following message : "Internal Error: Cannot find utCompiledCode record for this version of the uninstaller".
I'm not exactly a computer wiz so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Yes - you just need to delete Audacity's configuration file "audacity.cfg"mygreygolf wrote:Is there a way to restore default settings in version 1.3.X?
For Windows Vista and 7 it is in:
Users<user name>AppDataRoamingAudacity
The only slightly tricky thing about this is that Windows may be hiding that folder, so you need to enable viewing hidden files and folders. See here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... dden-files
I've no idea why Windows 7 is giving that error message, but completely uninstalling Audacity is very easy - just delete the entire "Audacity 1.3 beta" folder (name may not be exact, but should be obvious) from the "Program Files" folder and delete the "Audacity" folder from Users<user name>AppData

No good. My Uninstall Program option gives me that same message and my computer can't find the cfg file, even when I changed settings to 'show hidden files'.

Did you find the folder: Users<user name>AppDataRoamingAudacity
What is in that folder?
