Audacity Forum

In the stable version of Audacity, you can change this via Edit->Preferences File Format tab. How do you do this in the beta version (ie: this option appears to be missing in the preferences area)??

That's correct . Audacity 1.3 lets you set it individually for each export at the export step.

Use the Options button in the export dialog box.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you with a reply. It has been a while since I ran sound...

I cannot find an "Options" button on the "Edit Metadata" screen.

I'm guessing that I am looking at the wrong place.

I have my Audacity metada stuff turned off so I don't see this window anymore.

IIRC when you move from the metadata editing to the next window you should see the Options buttion on the actual export dialog window.

I had a hard time finding this as well. When you choose where the file will be saved, the option button is right below the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons.
