Using Audacity to Record Internet Radio

Post by wmarin » Fri Apr 02, 2010 2:57 am

Does anyone have any knowledge on how to use Audacity to record Internet Radio? I'm new to audio editing. I was wondering about how to tweak Audacitys settings to get the best results. Is this an exact science? How can I improve the quality of the recordings? I'm using Stereo, 44100Hz and a 32-bit float. Once I get the recording I'm extracting directly to mp3 to eventually make my own play lists and CD's. Does the radio station broadcasting rate have anything to do with this? Thanks to anyone who can help me with this.
