Audacity recording phone call

Post by Jimmy San Juan » Mon Mar 29, 2010 9:18 pm

Hi,

I'm from Brasil. Sorry for my english.

I need to use Audacity for recording a phone call. Is it possible?

I have a win modem instalated at my computer but I don't know how to set Audacity to get signal from the line when I push recorder button.

Thank's for your help.

There are special machines that allow recording both sides of a copper phone line telephone call. They are very expensive and only people like radio call-in shows have the good ones.

Many people make cheap phone taps, but they do not boost the far voice, so your voice is very much louder than the person you're calling and there's nothing you can do about it.

The cheapest way to do this is with software like Pamela that allows you to easily record both sides of a SKYPE phone call.

Pamela Professional and Pamela Business allow you to put each person on their own track and it's possible to apply filters and loudness tools to one side without affecting the other.
