How Do I Overwrite Left Track with Right Track

I may be losing something in the translation of the manual, but I can't find the instructions on how I could:
A.) select the left track and delete it leaving only the right track. then
B.) select the right track and and copy it to the left track.
In essence I have a mono recording from vinyl but the left track (outside half of needle) is much worse than the right track...so I want to use the best of the two tracks to get a synchronized cleaner recording.
any hints or pointers to the manual where this is shown? Every time I try to select just one of the tracks, I always get both.
Thanks.

You need to "split" the track into 2 tracks.
As you are intending to end up with a "mono" track, there is probably no need to take the extra steps to finish with a "2 channel mono" track. Just click on the track name (in the box on the left end of the track) and from the drop down menu select "Split Stereo to Mono", then delete the unwanted track.

I tried that before and it worked for me.
I believe that on export it creates a two channel track with both sides being the same from the single mono track.

If the
entire show is mono and centre panned, the exported file will be 1 channel (mono). This is advantageous in that uncompressed file types (such as WAV and AIFF) will use only half the amount of disk space of a stereo track, and compressed file types (such as MP3 and Ogg) will be better sound quality for the same file size.
Whether the file is "1 channel mono" or "2 channel mono" (same audio in left and right), it will play out of both left and right speakers.

BTW unless you actually have a faulty record this implies that your catridge is incorrectly aligned - or there may be a faulty connection or electrical fault with the cartridge or amp. You may want to investigate ...
