Extend recorded mp3 music play back in media player

Post by dougiedoo » Sat Mar 20, 2010 6:25 pm

I have approx.100 songs recorded and am doing a karaoke/commercial singing DJ music combination

I have saved all music in Windows Media Player from Audacity 1,3 beta but during editing of the wave form left only 2 seconds or less for the music to start. (cleaning out some of the fuzz on some recordings)

That won't work with what I want to do and would like to go back to the wave form and make all music start
after 20 + seconds. I thought I could use the envelope tool and move but that doesn't do it.
The music still start immediately.

I want to be able to hit the space bar to stop and start at any time, but I didn't leave enough room on the original recording to catch it.....

Make any sense?? :o :?
Windows 7 and Vista

Thanks for any help - Doug

Load the song. Home the cursor. Generate > Silence. Choose the amount.

Hey Koz,
Thanks, that was so damn easy! I had been searching through the online manual and unable to find anything regarding this issue. Still going through the learning phase with Audacity...Great program!
