Hi everyone i think that i have the same problem but let me give you details about my computer and the way the BSOD pops up ( and i think it is a bug because i know exactly how to produce it, according to what you guys said about a bug =P)
So here it is...
i use Windows 7 as OS and the version is the Home Premium Service Pack 1.
my Graphic card is an Intel core i5 2,53Ghz
System memory is 4G and the sound card is a Realtek High definition audio...i think. the computer is a sony and I got it 3 weeks ago, so its still new.
now here is how the BSOD pops up.
i have a line 6 POD HD500. it is an audio interface and it is also new. i got it a few days ago. I double checked the drivers cause after some "googling" i read that it can be the problem, i did the memory and hardware chec, no problem were reported in the scan results. I use the last version of audacity and yes i got it here http://audacityteam.org/download/
when i start recording guitar the BSOD pops up around 30 secs after i hit the Record button and for additional information i read that antiviruses are a big reproduction killers ( i use norton ) so i tried turning off all the antivirus functions and guess what it worked i was able to record for over 3 mins ( the BS did not pop up i stopped the recording ) but the bluescary think
showed it self when i was turning on the antivirus functions one by one. ( i though this might help ).
so that is it i hope this helps me and curtay and the audacity team and thanks for replies.
