I installed Audacity 1.3 over MS Windows Vista updated to the last service pack and patch, but launching the program I found that a large part of menu items have a very little character (non all the menu items!), both in main and secondary menus.
I found the same problem with 1.2 version.
What is the problem? I attach a screen shot of my installation.
Plase help me!
Bye.

In 1.3 tochange the language use: Edit>Preferences - Edit is the second command in from top left, then Preferences is the bottom selection in the drop-down list.

Then you need the Interface tab, which is the fifth item in the list

In the dialog box there should be three wide drop-down selector boxes. The middle one enables you to select the language – select English

And then click the OK button – which should be the left-most button at the bottom right.

=========================================

To change the language in 1.2.x use: Edit>Preferences - Edit is the second command in from top left, then Preferences is the bottom selection in the drop-down list.

Then you need the Interface tab, which is the third one in from the right.

Language is selected from the only drop-down list in the dialogue box - use this to change to English.
