stop between tracks on playback

Post by daffyduck » Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:18 pm

I want to compile several tracks of audio on a CD, however, I don't want them to play from one track to another. I'm going to use the CD for a stage play, and want each sound track to stop when it finishes. I.E., when track one is played, it stops and track 2 is cued ready for the sound operator to use the play button to run it. is there a way to have each track stop when it finishes playing?

sounds like a function for your playback device

once you burn the cd audacity has no control
and i know of know way to make a one track at a time cd that works on every cd player

you may need one track per cd
and a multiple cd player

look at dj equipment
they are the ones that might use such a feature

or use a pc for playback
there are dj programs that let you sequence what to play
from a big library of choices

Not with software, it depends on the functions of your CD player.
Alternatively, you could insert a silence for a couple of seconds after each track. That gives you some time to hit the pause button before the next track starts.
