Audacity Forum

Hi There

I tried to down load Audacity but can not get it going.

Steps
Audacity web page
Download for windows xp
Installer 1.3.11 Then can not go any further.... I've tried the Direct link or Mirror this also stops there.

Can you please assist me with any advice?

Have you got your browser set up so that it won't download from un-trusted/unknown sites?

You may need to click in the message bar that normally appears when you try to do this to allow the download to proceed - but do maje sure it is the genuine Audacity site (and make sure you download Audacity - there are some commercial, paid-for programs, that advertise there too - see http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8500). Thank for your adivice! I was able to down Audacity.

Next steps:
The program i down loaded does not have tutorial or help, how do i get this, aLSO
I was not able to down load the plug in for mp3. I'm not sure how to do this i tried to do it from the Audacity web page with no success. Should i be doing it from the audacity program?
