Bit rate

How do you change the bit rate in version 1.3.11? I can't find it anywhere. Sorry. I'm not real good with audio editing programs.

The bit rate of an exported MP3 file is set during the Export step, not in preferences like it used to be in Audacity 1.2.

I just exported a file and I still didn't see where to change the bit rate. Maybe I'm blind. :?

Never mind. I just found how to change it. Thanks for your help!

I presume that you found the Options button in the Export dialog then.

Note too that you can change the default bitrate that Audacity works at, default is set to 32-bit float.

Just go to Edit > Preference > Quality and look for the Default Sample Format and use the drop-down to select your require working rate.
