Audacity Beta does not work with Windows 7

The information is that Audacity Beta version should work with Windows 7. But it does not. I try to record music from the net but the recording is dead. The installation went as it should, what is wrong?
Is it Windows 7?

Some Vista/Win 7 machines do not support recording from "Stereo Mix".
