I would like to monitor the input as I record, is this possible? I have a turntable connected to a mixing console, which is connected to the mic input, and the speakers are connected to line in. In Device Preferences the Interface is set to MME, Playback is set to Speakers (Realtek High Def), Recording is set to Microphone (Realtek high Def.)
Can the source be monitored prior to recording?

Yes, go to Edit > Preferences > Recording and check the box that says Software Playthrough
