WAV FILES EXPORTED BY AUDACITY ARE CORRUPT ALL OF A SUDDEN

I have been using Audacity for almost four years and have never had a problem. I use Nero 9 to burn CDs, and often use Audacity to change the sound of tracks, edit them, amp them, etc. NO PROBLEM until about 4 in the morning (January 24, 2010) SUDDENLY ALL WAV FILES EXPORTED FROM AUDACITY ARE BEING REFUSED BY NERO & WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AS BEING CORRUPT. ALL OF THEM.

The "corrupt" files are accepted by Audacity. They PLAY but will not be BURNED on Windows Media Player. There is no problem with Audacity BEFORE the files are exported, and other files are not being rejected by Nero or Windows media, only the files exported since early this morning.

I use Audacity EVERY DAY and I really need it to work. What can I do?

I presume that you are using Audacity 1.3?

Make sure that you are Exporting as 16 bit WAV files.
I think that Nero should be able to accept 16bit WAV files at 48kHz sample rate, but if you are sure that the Exported files are 16 bit WAV and you still have a problem, try setting the Project Rate (little box at the bottom left of the main Audacity window) to 44100 before you Export. This will force the Exported files to use 44.1kHz sample rate (the same as audio CDs). If necessary, you can set this as the default in Preferences (Edit menu > Preferences > Quality)
