I have several songs in one folder that I want to amplify with audacity 1.3. I want to do the same thing to each file so I was wondering if there is a way to script or automate this? I haven't been able to find any documentation on this.

In Audacity 1.3, that process is called "Chains." It's pre-beginning, baby steps in development, so chances are, whatever you want it to do, it doesn't.
