I have a 4 input recording system (lexican omega) and I want to use Audacity to record with it because its much easier to use than the included software. But so far I don't think that Audacity can record more than one track at once. So my question is, Can Audacity record multiple tracks at once from such a device, and if so, how?
Thanks.
Multitrack recording devices?

Re: Multitrack recording devices?
Qualified yes. Audacity can record up to 16 tracks from any one sound device. The problem with most multi-track machines is they group every two tracks into one Stereo Device. Audacity will only recognize one of those at a time.
That and Audacity will not work with the popular ASIO software drivers. So it's sometimes a torturous path to get there, although people have done this.
Skim through this and see if we reviewed a successful multi-track sound card.
