Hi.
I'm using Audacity version 3.1.11 on windows XP sp3.
Using Time Shift Tool, can I copy a sound clip easilly instead ov move it?

- copy audio clip like this

I can achieve the copy command by using Selection Tool, select the clip and do a "Duplicate clip". Then I can move the duplicated clip on place.
In other windows applications, default method for copying (where moving selection is default) is to hold Ctrl button down while dragging selection.
Thanks

Audacity isn't a typical Windows application (it's Windows+Mac+Linux)

You can't copy using the time shift tool, but you can select the bit that you want to copy (double click with the selection tool) and then use the familiar (Windows) shortcuts of Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste.

Or you can just shift the seconfd track along the timeline in its own track - Audacity will mix it down on Export.
BTW do you realize that you have clipping (an over-saturated signal) in the top track "bomb" ?

Makes a more realistic effect in good, old games

Thanks, that's the answer. I didn't had the Ctrl+C in mind
