Hello,
I have my old analog turntable connected to my pc, running audacity 1.3.10, but when playing something, a strange noise, which seems like it's repeating the last .5 second, pops up, which just causes me to stop recording and restart recording. So I never have to quit audacity. It's not that big of a problem, it's just quite annoying.
Does anyone know what this is, and if so, know the solution?
Thanks in advance.

Re: noise while recording
it's a philips, connected to my NAC PreAMP, which is connected to my PC through usb, but i think it has to do with audacity, since when i stop recording (pressing the big orange square within audacity, so the needle stays lowered) and start recording agian (so pressing the red circle within audacity) it's like it's supposed to work again for a few minutes, then my problem repeats.
Re: noise while recording
Go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices" and tell me what all of your settings are. I suspect the problem is in there, but of course I can't look for myself, so you'll have to look for me

Re: noise while recording
Well that looks correct, but I'm not clear about what your problem is.
If you press the record button on Audacity and start playing the record, then I presume that Audacity starts recording and you see the recorded waveform appear on the new track in Audacity. Then you get a "strange noise".... Is this noise coming out of your speakers? Where are your speakers connected - to the computer or to the analogue outputs on the turntable?
If you then press "Stop" on Audacity and stop the turntable, then press "Play" on Audacity, what do you hear?
