My Audacity-project is saved as an ADOBE-file (Windows XP).
How can I change it to an AUP-file ?
Thanks.

Audacity does not save as any kind of file, it saves "projects". There are 2 parts to a project, the .AUP file and the audio data.
Unless you are importing files and not saving copies of the data, the audio data will be as thousands of little fragments in the "data" folder that is created at the same time as the .AUP file. The AUP file just tells Audacity how to put the data fragments back together, it does not contain any data.

By default, Windows hides the file extension (the last few letters of a file name). To enable viewing file extensions see here: http://www.fileinfo.com/help/windows-sh ... sions.html

If double clicking on an Audacity project file opens another program instead of Audacity, you need to change the file association to fix it. Alternatively as a simple workaround, just open Audacity and select "Open" from the file menu and select the .AUP file that you want to open.
