Hello, I'm new here,
some of my .wav files are not loud enough: they're from a CD or played by myself.
Other files are much louder, which is annoying when you play them back in sequence.
The Audacity screen shows peaks of only 0.2, while the scale goes from -1.0 to 1.0
How can I safely raise the volume, say by a factor 3, without nasty side-effects?
;JOOP!

Re: Changing the volume of a track
Select the track and use "Effcts -> Amplify"
(make sure that the "Allow Clipping" box is NOT selected)
