effects tab in preferences

effects tab in preferences

I can't get effects to populate and I have no effects tab in preferences under edit. how can I get my effects to come up?

Exactly which version of Audacity are you using (Help menu > About Audacity) and which version of Windows?
Have you tried resetting Audacity Preferences? http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... defaults_2
