Wah Wah effect?
I just downloaded Audacity and have made a few recordings, but when played back all the sounds have a wah wah or phaser effect on them. I have tried playing with the effects in the generate menu, but nothing can take the effect off. When I play a recording, it plays normally for a few seconds then starts going into the phaser type sounds. Any help is appreciated to remove this effect!!!!

From your description I would assume it to be either bad sound card drivers:christophermcirish wrote:I just downloaded Audacity and have made a few recordings, but when played back all the sounds have a wah wah or phaser effect on them. or maybe most likely, a deliberate effect in your sound card that you need to turn off.
You also want to make sure you are recording the correct input (record the mic input if your mic is plugged into the computer, not stereo mix).
