Audacity 1.3.10 export selection bug
Posted: Thu Dec 10, 2009 12:08 am
I just tried doing a simple export selection to extract a song from my recording, but the exported file is 4.579 seconds longer than my selection!
I did this twice, checking my steps, and was able to reproduce the error.
The selection was supposed to be 2m 40.462s (7076394 samples) long, but what was exported ended up being 2m45.041s (7278336 samples) long! The starting point of the selection was observed, but the end point was not observed precisely.
Technical details:
The start and end point of the intended selection were labelled precisely.
The original file was an mp3, 160 kbps, 44100Hz, Joint Stereo
The selection export was to mp3, 160 kbps, 44100Hz, Stereo (and Joint Stereo doesn't help)
Libraries installed: LAME 3.98.2 and FFmpeg F(52.36.0),C(52.32.0),U(50.3.0)
Any ideas what's going on?
