Can't install 1.3.10, error - setup file corrupted.

Win7 ultimate
I have a desktop box with the PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series sound card installed.

Can't get any version of Audacity to work on this new computer.

Actually, twice in many tries I got it to record with poor playback sound. Could not get it to record again either time I had partial success.

I have tried all sort of combinations of options for recording devices. Not sure with one I used when I had partial success recording.

Without a more inormative diagnosis - including the vn of Audacity you used and the hardware in play - we can't really help you much.

You may need to download it again. I downloaded it yesterday and the file is not corrupt.

There's quite a lot of helpful suggestions and links for Windows 7 here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 16&t=16111

Gave up on 1.3.10 and am using 1.3.9

I have a desktop box with the PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series sound card installed.

I finally got Audacity to work. I had previously run Windows Update and was told I had the latest drivers.

However, when I ran Creative Sound Autoupdate it found a whole host of new drivers for my sound card software. I install 400+ mb of files.
Now Windows Media Player produced NO sound. I changed Playback to Speakers and Recording to What U Hear and sound returned for the media player

AND Audacity now recorded played back the sound from the Media Player and also streaming sound from the Internet.

Hope this helps some body else.
