Trouble with Labels...

Having trouble with labels with version 1.3.10 on WIndows XP. I am still new to this program, so please let me know if I am doing something incorrectly. Thanks!

Recorded LP into audacity, then created label for each song. Then exported each ("Export Multiple") to WAV and MP3.

When listening to each WAV and MP3 file, it appears that each song "keeps going" past the point where I placed the label. That is, near the end of each WAV or MP3 file, the first couple seconds of the "next song" can be heard even though I created a label before that point in Audacity. Note that the beginning of each of the WAVs/MP3s is fine. The start of each song is not cut off. Weird.

Am I screwing something up?

I didn't run into this problem with version 1.2.

Thanks again...

I've read a similar report elsewhere. Are the exported selections being rounded to the nearest 5 second mark?

Yes...I've messed around with this a little more. The exported selections are being being cut off to the nearest 5 second mark. It's the same story whether I manually create labels or have the program do it based on silence finder. No fun.

This is a bug that was spotted 3 days ago. The developers are aware of the issue so hopefully it will not be too long before it is fixed. For now you could go back to Audacity 1.3.9 (available here: http://code.google.com/p/audacity/downl ... nloadCount )

You can sign up on this page http://audacityteam.org/ to be notified when a new version is released - I think there will be a another release quite soon when issues such as this have come to light and been fixed.

This issue is now hopefully fixed in the source code - if you'd like to test it out the fix should make it's way into the "Nightly build" within the next couple of days. The Nightly build is available here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... tly_Builds
