I have used Audacity with this device to record guitar & vocals in the past with no issues. Today I used the drumbeats the device provides & when I hit record in Audacity the tempo doubles. Makes no difference if I start the drums or record first. I don't understand how Audacity could cause a hardware device to do something and was just wondering if anyone else has seen this & figured out what causes it.
I am using XP SP3 and have also written to M-Audio about this.
Thanks

Re: Recording from M-Audio Black Box
Found the issue, I had Software Playthrough checked. Seems that had me monitoring both input & output. There must be a delay in the device, so basically I was hearing two drum patters, but with a time shift between them, making it seem twice as fast.
