Hey guys. I'm using Audacity 1.3 beta here
I mainly use this software for the development of Guitar Hero 2 custom songs. Guitar Hero 2 uses multi channel ogg files for the audio and midi files for the notes. When you miss a note, the game simply mutes the guitar channel untill you hit another note. Audacity works good for this the way it is, however I have no idea how to separate the guitar from the rest of the audio. So when you play the song in the game, even though the game mutes that channel you can still hear the guitar playing. The game is still playable of course. But it would be a bit more enjoyable if it played correctly with custom songs.
How to seperate the guitar tracks from songs?

Re: How to seperate the guitar tracks from songs?
I can't quite straighten out the question, due, no doubt, that I don't play Guitar Hero (either one), but I can tell you you can't split up a finished, mixed, produced song into instruments.
