I'm running windows 7 in a 64 bit version with a Realtek soundcard.
I'm recording from a lenco 78 turntable through an usb connection. I get a full reading on both the input and the output level meters but I can,t hear anything from my loudspeakers.
I checked that the playbackfunction is turned on on both the soundcard and in Audacity.
I can make a recording but I can,t hear it afterwards and I have tried to disconnect the turntable also, but nothing helps.
I hope that someone have a solution to this problem.
Peter

Re: No sound on my speakers with windows 7
Disconnecting the turntable should normally mean the system sound will roll back to using the computer sound device. So you should be able to hear sound in Windows Media Player. If you cannot hear sound in Audacity go to the Device tab in Audacity Preferences and set the Playback device explicitly to your computer sound device.PEBL wrote:I'm running windows 7 in a 64 bit version with a Realtek soundcard.

Also see our USB turntables page.

This is not really relevant to your problem, but a request for information.
I wanted to confirm that Auidacity 1.3.x works in native Windows 7 64-bit, since I am about to upgrade my existing XP Pro installation.
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards
