Hi, After recording an L.P in Audacity 1.3.9, I clicked File-save project, and had a warning that I am saving a file only Audacity can open, and an O.K tab to click. Now I can only open the file in W.M. Player. When I click File-Open I have a Audacity (R) icon, and a File Name_data folder. I don't want to lose my recording. Can I still edit and Export Multiple? I have Windows XP. Many thanks, Roy

What you have saved is an Audacity project, and no other program will open it.

In the File window that you get when you select File > Open, the file with the Audacity icon is the Audacity project file, (it should have the name that you gave your project when you saved it) and the _data folder contains all the audio data.
Select the project file and your project will open.
