Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

1394 Net Adapter Error

Post by PTZ » Wed Nov 04, 2009 1:02 am

Running Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop with XP - 1 year old. Installed Audacity and purchased U-Control UCA202. Transfered some cassette tapes... all worked great.
But I now receive a blue screen (when my virus software runs) and I appear to have a driver problem with the 1394 Net Adapter.

Is it possible the Audacity install is in conflict with something? I am using the U-Control with a USB port.

I'd say that was extremely unlikely.
If you get blue screen when your antivirus runs, I would run a full boot-time antivirus scan on the entire system as soon as possible.
If this is for home use you could use Avast (free home version) to do this. Temporarily disable your current anti-virus program while you have Avast installed.
You can run Avast for quite a long time (60 days?) before you need to register it (free registration for personal home use).
