Audacity won't open..........

Hi. I have been using Audacity 1.3.8 for a while without problems but suddenly it won't open. I get the audacity bar along the bottom of windows xp but there is no actual audacity open. When i click on the bar at the bottom nothing happens, except it flashes. I tried removing the program and re-istalling but the same happens. However, if i install Audacity 1.2.6 this will open but it won't let me use the files i made on the later program. When i installed 1.3.9 this was the same as the 1.3.8 and would just open as a bar at the bottom but nothing else. ????? Thanks very much, Stu.

Hi. Thanks for the reply but i realised what i'd done. The last time i shut down Audacity i minimised it prior to shutting down which meant it was just minimised so i opened it this morning right clicked on the bar and maximised it......hey presto....... duhhhhhh!
