HELP getting started

Post by aparramoure » Sun Oct 18, 2009 11:59 am

I have pro tools 8.1 and the mbox2 mini set up on my computer already.. but I want to try AUDACTY.. I have it installed, I have gone thru some of the help.. I just can not get the program to record my voice. (?)
I tried to configure my devise,, which I have no idea which it is with what is offered in the drop down menu.
I can start a new tract and press record and the line goes by but no voice, no wave, no nothing,,
I expectations are to : record a voice, a sentence or two, save it to a file in MP-3 format and maybe add music on occasion. That is it,,
Can someone help me with a quick start or point me in the right directions?

Thank you in advance,
Art

Make sure that you have installed the WDM drivers for the mbox2.
Reboot your computer and do not open Protools. Open Audacity and check the settings in "Edit > Preferences > Devices"
