Hello Irish, thanks I have been unsuccessful in finding the "audacity.cfg" file as I have posted in my replies on my previous attempts to find it, can you tell where to look for it. I guess I really don't need what I am looking for as I can still convert to wave without problems it is the principal of not being able to find something.
Thanks

Sorry, I thought that you meant you had deleted the audacity.cfg file.crellin wrote:I found area you wrote, did as told
Here are the steps.
1. The site that Steve pointed you to tells you how to make hidden files visible on you computer. Follow the instructions there for your version of Windows.
(I assume this is what you referred to above)
2. Once you have made the hidden files visible, search your computer for audacity.cfg, using the search tool in Windows Explorer, and delete it.
(On my Windows XP machine, it is in C:Documents and settings<username>Application DataAudacity, but it may be in another location depending on your Windows version.)
3. When you have deleted audacity.cfg, launch Audacity and everything should start from new, i.e. it will ask you "English?"
If you still don't succeed, tell us which version of Windows you have, so that we can narrow down the search.
PO'L
