Can't export files as .wav??? Please help.

The manual says there's an option to export files as .wav but that option doesn't appear for me. I uninstalled Audacity and then downloaded again thinking maybe something didn't work but I still have no export as .wav selection. I'd prefer to export as .wav rather than mp3, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.... You can also email me at

We could, but probably won't because we like to keep discussions on the forum.
Audacity 1.3 has an extra step where it shows you a MetaData panel where you get to put in 'Artist Name' etc. Just OK that panel without putting anything in and the system should take you to the WAV export panel.
You can prevent that Metadata screen from coming up in Audacity Preferences.
