Export to 6 channel soundfile not possible?

Post by AxZ » Tue Oct 06, 2009 5:05 pm

Hi there, sry if this was asked before,

I can import a 6 channel wav fine, but I did not find a way to export it to 6 channel wav again, it will always be downmixed to stereo.
Same thing with exporting to 6 channel ac3.

Is this simply not possible?

What I need to do is PAL speedup für videos.

AxZ,

You didn't say if you tried using the Advanced Mixing Options. In 1.3.9, go to Edit > Preferences, and select the Import/Export tab. In the section titled "When exporting tracks to an audio file", select "Use custom mix (for example to export to a 5.1 multichannel file)".

Having done this, after you select Export, OK, have selected your file type name, and clicked on Save, then the dialog "Advanced Mixing Options" appears. Here, you are given the chance to specify how may output channels are created, and which tracks are used to create those channels. (There has to be an easier way) :)

I hope this helps.
