Preset recording cutoff

I want to be able to transfer one side of an LP and walk away from the computer to do something else until the recording is finished. Can I set Audacity to stop recording after a certain period of time, such as 15 minutes, the approximate length of an LP side? Or when there is silence for a certain period, longer than that between tracks?

Audacity 1.3 has Transport > Timer Record.

Transport > Sound Activated Recording, but at present you can only configure the silence threshold level not the post-roll for which it continues recording after it detects silence. So it will truncate detected silence to almost zero.
