Audacity Forum

I've tried twice to install 1.3.8: first on top of 1.3.7, then after de-installing and deleting everything and starting blank. Both times, when I try to run Audacity it churns for a while with no visible window, then I get this cryptic error. After I reply, audacity.exe is still running, but doing nothing that I can see. So I've gone back to 1.3.7 and it's running OK.

XP SP2, 2GB memory, plenty of disk.

There appears to be aproblem with the 1,3,8 release - the developers are aware of this.
