Windows 7 & recording directly what's being played onscreen

How can I create a "loopback" so I can record the audio of what I am seeing played on screen in Audacity?

I can't figure it out in Win 7 - sure, I could dual-boot back into XP to do it or use a physcial cable looping back, but I'd rather do it "properly"! Thanks

Windows 7 is not officially supported, and I don't have it, but I'm guessing it is similar to Vista. Recording "Stereo Mix" may or may not be available with the Windows 7 sound card drivers. Check in the Windows Control Panel to see if "Stereo Mix" is an option (see here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... trol_Panel )
