Hello,
I was trying to compile audacity for windows, because I need an asio supporting version. My current computer causes some hacking and cuts between the recordings, so I thought that by compiling audacity from source with the asio sdk, I'd probably get better results.
My problem is, that when I was searching for the WXWidgets in the sourceforge library, It looked like they were taken down. So is there any info, what has happened to them, and is the 2.8.9 version still the best, or should I use the 2.8.0 version I found?
With kind regards
Dengo Jürgen

Audacity 1.3.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Just in case you have not already resolved your problem, Audacity 1.3.9 requires wxGTK 2.8.10. You can get it here: wxWidgets Downloads
I hope this helps.
