Hi there guys,
I made a file in the 1.2 version of audacity, just because it's got everything I need (I only stick to the basics), EXCEPT the ability to move several tracks at once.
So I saved under a different file, and imported the new project file into Audacity Beta, so I could remove two particular bars of music I don't want in the song anymore. However, I need the rest of the song to stay in time, if you know what I mean.
Picture the tracks I have like this:
______________
______________
______________
______________
______________
______________
etc... What I need to do, is this:
______________
____|__|______
____|__|______
____|__|______
____|__|______
____|__|______
The segment down the middle is the bit I wish to take out. Is there a way of just selecting this segment, drag it down across all the tracks, and simply delete it so everything else remains in time?
Thanks heaps.

Click on the top track then drag across and down.
For other ways of selecting multiple tracks see this post:
