Hello,
I want to add a sound effect to another audio file. While I'm working on the existing audio file I select 'import audio'. The existing track is stereo at 44100Hz, the audio I want to add is mono and imports at 8000Hz (it is an mp3 file though). When I play it in a separate track, it's fine. When I try to add it to the existing track, it plays super fast. How can I fix this problem?
Thankyou in advance.

Re: Speed of mp3 files
You might try loading the weird file by itself and converting it to the standard of the rest of the show. Export a fresh version at the new standards and try to edit with that.
The conversion spells are all in this thread.

Re: Speed of mp3 files
Thankyou. I will give it a go.
Re: Speed of mp3 files
Thanks for the help. I changed the speed of the project file, made it into a stereo track and exported it as a new mp3. Worked well. Cheers

Re: Speed of mp3 files
Everybody's in love with MP3 files. They cause damage each and every time you make one.
Do all your production in uncompressed WAV format and then convert to MP3 at the end if that's what you need.
