Just wondering if anyone can help me solve this issue?
I'm recording a dj mix and have found that in each recording I've listened to, there are some moments when a track skips. I've gone back and listened to the file recorded in Audacity and the skips are in there as well.
The sound card is at sample rate of 96. I have closed all programs during the recording, and am using Windows Vista.
The first few times I've recorded, the sound has been perfect; however, recent ones have contained skips and sometimes also muffled sound in parts.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this problem? Cheers!

Re: Recording skips in parts and sound sometimes muffled
Do a test recording with the recording format set to 16bit 44100Hz

What's the outcome?

Recent recordings you made after you started to fill up your hard drive? Have you ever error checked or defragmented? Audacity will not run into a badly fragmented hard drive and nobody likes one that's filling up.
