First I hope I am in the right place if not I apologize and please re-direct me.
Computer info
Toshiba laptop with window vista its less than a year old. I don't know much more as it belongs to our church and I only have limited access to it.
We have audacity 1.3.7 installed on the computer to record sermons. The only other program that runs at the same time is called "Easy Worship" so that we can project scriptures on the screen while recording.
This is the problem
We record for about 45 minutes and have no problems but when we stop recording we get a message box saying that audacity must shut down and it will not allow us to save the sermon. It does not do this all of the time just occasionally or intermitently.
I use audacity 1.3.7 on my home computer and have recorded well over 45 minutes and have never had any problems whatsoever.
Do you have any suggestions or answers?
Do you need more laptop info?

Re: Question for Audacity with Vista
Audacity can do that if it runs out of clean hard drive space. Do you know how to error check and defragment?

Re: Question for Audacity with Vista
Don't know how to error check but yes on the defrag.
Being as there is not much on this laptop (only what it came with) I would think that defrag wouldn't be needed. The only programs that have been added that I know of are "Easy Worship and Audacity".
We did experience some problems with Easy Worship at first but that seems to have vanished. I had thought it might just be a compatibility problem with Vista as I have heard some unpleasant stories from friends about it.
If I am not mistaken this laptop has pretty good GB space on it but I can ask to make sure.

Re: Question for Audacity with Vista
Try making some test recordings without "Easy Worship" running.
