Hello,
I'm using the beta version 1.3.7 in a PC with win 2000 operating system.
I've loaded the LAME_ENC.dll file for MP3 exporting capability.
I loaded an MP3 file and added a track, and when I export blending the tracks together, the export finishes
at 1 minute. Should be about 3 and a half minutes. There are no error messages. The export simply finishes
as it would normally, yet with just the 1 minute of the recording....
What might I be doing wrong? All indications show that the program understands the exact length of my recording,
however, with repeated attempts in exporting, it still only exports exactally 1 minute.
Thanks,
John A

Let's drag you back to the beginning of the movie. What's the show and where did it come from?

FYI -
Excerpts of an email sent to Gale.

Thanks for responding, however I did resolve the problem.
I was exporting my file to a 100mb zip drive where I store all music for
this particular artist buddy of mine.
Well, it appears that the disk was close to full and only exported to the
limit of what was left on the drive.
I would have thought the program would have tested the destination drive for
adequate disc space to export
the complete file, and if the drive looked close to full, or didn't have
space to transfer the complete file,
it should have alerted me with a 'not enough disk space to transfer file'
message.

Audacity does not currently perform a file size check when exporting.
We'll add your vote for that suggestion.
