Ok so Audacity has been working AWEWOME...
Last night i was trying to lay down a bass track and when i playback it has whitenoise thru the entire track.
Just for reference, I have the bass hooked up to an amp and the amp is hooked up to a foot pedal and the amp is also hooked into my computer via a usb.
Ive had no crashes or anything.
How do i get rid of the whitenoise?

Re: White noise
We can whack this system up into pieces to figure out what happened. The USB thing is a what? Who made it? Part numbers?
Leave everything connected like you have but turn off the amp, guitar, foot pedal and all the rest of the musical equipment. Leave the USB thing and computer running and make a five second recording. Is it still hissy?

<<<tiny tiny bit of a hiss>>>
Tiny bit? Not the same volume as the hiss behind your show? There is an analog to digital converter inside that USB audio cable and any electronics like that can make noise. However, noise like that is normally associated with ultra sensitive microphone amplifiers, not line-level performances.
Try changing the usb connection to a different one and plug and unplug several times. USB connection noise will do this, too.
The electronics inside the cable must be powered from somewhere, and the only place for it to get juice is the computer. USB power is anything but stable and noise free. If you have a friend you can experiment with, try the cable on his computer.
