Hello!

I created some mp3 files using Audacity and my designer has added them to some swf files of mine. They've been fine, but on this last file the swf plays with a lot of static, popping, cracking, snapping sounds from time to time. When you listen to the mp3 alone, it's clean. Which is mind boggling. When it plays in the swf, you get the noise (which happens to occur at the same places even though I've resaved the audio as 3 different mp3's and he's added it 3 times. Again... we've done this dozens of times with different audio files with no problem. Something about this file... but how come when I listen to the mp3 it's perfectly fine... but when added to the sfw it crackles (like LOUD static) in the same spots every time it's played?! :? Anyone have any ideas why? Thanks.

Is the latest MP3 produced from a 32-bit floating master? We've had troubles with that. The MP3 files become unstable and may not play correctly on everybody's player. Reset or resample down to 16 bit.

Yes... it is from a 32 bit floating master. But so were all the others we did... about 20 of them with no issues. This one is the longest with the most tracks, if that matters.

When you say RESET, do you mean to reEXPORT? If so, I tried that a few times with no success. I can certainly try the 16 bit resize.

Thank you,
Eric
