Audacity speeding up my recordings up for some reason
I'm using version 1.3.5, Sample Rate is 44100, and for some reason the audio I record is almost half the time of the time I spent recording it. What could cause something like this?

<<<the audio I record>>>
The audio you record doesn't happen to be you, a guitar, and a nice microphone in a quiet room, does it?

No. Just me and a headset. I found out that it doesn't screw up recording unless I'm recording while in a Skype call though. I also found that it does this for the stable version as well. I've no clue why.

We know.
Web Phones screw up your computer sound services. It's one of the reasons you can't record both sides of your conversation. It's not unusual for Audacity to not work at all in the presence of Skype or Vonage.
It's not evil. In order to work right, VOIP systems need to completely take over your computer.
One company can sell you recording software and the other uses the full license of Pamela.
